this mandala is painted on an old lp, salvaged from the goodwill store and lovingly re-purposed. she speaks to me of second chances, renewal...rebirth. molded and pressed into one service, enjoyed for a season then discarded, she has been sought out for new life. to see her as she was when i found her, scratched and dull, and to see her as she is now, bejeweled and adorned, is like the difference between night and day.

very beautiful my love!
ylh
shame about the reflecting glass
means we can't quite see the detail
so is 'night and day' the name of the album or single ;-)
thank you, my love!
kel, i know...i know... ;-) i'll try to do better next time.
What a fabulous way to resurrect an old record! A Mandala is perfect for it.
Love to see more,
Cheers,
Cindy
cindy - welcome to my blog! i've done several mandalas on old lp's over the past few years. they're really the perfect size, and i like working with materials that have a bit of a past.
