Stacy..my heart took a little leap when I saw this and read the poem...and then I enlarged it and saw the moons glwoing in the four corners...and I felt such peace..so beautiful.
hi norm - how lovely of you to drop by! i've never done a step-by-step, mostly because, i create by what i call "happy accidents" most of the time. since starting eoth, i've been using my own photographs to create these digital mandalas. (and some are created with parts of hand-drawn ones i've done) i use a combination of a kaleidoscope type program and a photoshop program to come up with the end product. a lot of trial and error and just plain playin' around until it says "i'm done!"
Stacy I love your mandalas. Did you write the poem? It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing the inspiration for your mandalas also. You've inspired me to go a play with photoshop in some different ways.
immortalindigo - thank you so much for the kind words. i use the paint.net program a lot, too...it's a free download from the web. yes, i wrote the poem - i enjoy bringing words and images together. blessings!
I am a contemplative artist, combining traditional mediums and digital technology to create unique images. I have two blogs: A Magic Mom and Her Mandalas, dedicated primarily to the art form of the mandala, and The Sacred Alter, which focuses on what I can only describe as "art birthed from the soul." I hope you will enjoy visiting both.

Hi Stacy - this is a beautiful piece of work... very nice. And I see we have a blog-friend in common - Kel.
I was wondering if you have ever posted a step-by-step explanation of how you end up with these images? They certainly intrigue me.

Stacy...I love this, the four corner moons and the rich colors. The poem is perfect.
